The Murcielago is the last of the old-fashioned Lamborghinis - but tempered with a good dose of Audi common-sense. Build quality is in a different league to Lambos of old - but all the character is there. This is also probably the last of the hairy-chested supercars of old. Huge amounts of raw power (the LP640 is now the default Murcielago) make this a frightening car at the limit. But ooooh how it gets the adrenalin moving!

Mad as a box of frogs, the Murcialago is huge fun - as long as it doesn't rain! The contraption that is the roof takes at least 10 minutes to put on, and looks like a cross between an origami kite and the tent you used to sleep in in the garden when you were 10! But Lamborghini's philosophy is simple - if you can afford the Murcielago Roadster you can afford another car for when it rains! Fair enough. The Roadster has the sort of looks that adorn bedroom walls, and attracts attention wherever you go. Does it go? Like a bat out of hell!
