What do Innovation Cars say about the Audi Q7?
The Q7 is Audi's foray into the still burgeoning Premium 4x4/offroad/SUV market. And didn't they do well?!
Audi shied away from this market for years, believing Premium SUVs were a fad, but now they've taken the plunge with a car that brings something new to the sector.
Based on the Cayenne/Toureg chassis (a good start) the Q7 comes with all of Audi's build-quality intact. This car is a class act, and with sector-beating accommodation (you can have 7 seats) it's a sure fire winner. Good choices were made with the engines - a 3.0 & 4.2 Turbo Diesel and 3.6 & 4.2 Petrol - but the pick of the bunch is the 4.2 TDI. Amazingly this offers more performance than the petrol version, and it does 25mpg! And from the late summerof 2008 you can even have the Q7 V12 TDI with an astonishing 500bhp and 750ft lb of torque! Good Lord.
Road holding and handling are astonishing for a car of this size, and perfomance, even from the 3.0 turbo diesel, is good. But the performance of the 4.2 TDI is astonishing and the V12 is unbelievable.!
