Koenigsegg CCXR Edition

Posted by john  Published in Koenigsegg

It’s 14 years since Swedish Wonderkid Christian von Koenigsegg decided it was time to build his dream car. An inveterate inventor (Christian developed the now ubiquitous wood-floor click system in his late teens) he had a dream to build the perfect supercar, just like many before. But, with the arrogance of youth, he was convinced he could succeed where countless others had failed before. And so was born Koenigsegg the car company; founded by Christian von Koenigsegg at the tender age of just 22.

Koenigsegg has come a long way since those early days, and now heads a real Supercar company turning out the most amazing cars. And the ultimate edition of the Koenigsegg is now available. Yes, the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition is for sale.

Just 6 of these incredible cars are being made – just one in RHD. Powered by a 4.8 litre Koenigsegg V8, this monster churns out an unbelievable 1018bhp when run on E85 Bioethanol. 0-60 comes up in a mind-blowing 2.9 seconds, and the top speed is 254mph!

The Top Gear crew claim, quite reasonably, to have had a hand in this car with the ‘Top Gear Spoiler’, which has made a huge difference to the handling by massively increasing the downforce at the back. Only the Ascari has put in a better time than the CCX round the Top Gear track, and the CCXR has a chunk more power than the regular CCX.

This is another bruiser of a supercar. It’s not as refined as the Veyron, although it is arguably even more powerful. And it could be argued that as it’s a dual-fuel car, capable of running on E85, that this is a true ‘Green’ supercar. I think I’ve just found a reason for going green. More power!

Oh, and we just happen to have the only RHD CCXR Edition in the world available. Rob your piggy-bank and give us a call!
