		<description>Thanks Peter. I do agree with you on the transmission. It's great out in the sticks, but not huge fun in town. I'm sure the R8 will stay as a limited edition model, but with the upcoming V10 version it will be interesting to see what Porsche do about Lamborghini.</description>

Excellent article. I took delivery of my Daytona Grey R8 a month ago.It's a great car but very wide.Not easy to get in the garage. I wish a decent automatic was available.DSG would be great but even a Tiptronic would be better than the R Tronic. I deceided on manuual which is not much fun going from Clapham to Fulham in the rush hour.My other gripe are the cupholders where a proper glove box should be located. However what I wanted to bring to your attention is the likey full takeover of VW Audi by Porsche. In that event you can be sure that the R8 will be kept to a very limited production run so that it can't challenge the 911. The good news is that this will keep R8 values high.</description>
